Viet Nam’s import of palm oil and paper from Indonesia could experience a year-on-year increase of 38 per cent, Indonesian ambassador to Viet Nam Ibnu Hadi said on Wednesday.
Vegetable oil imported to Viet Nam, including refined soybean and
refined palm oil, was subject to a safeguard duty rate of 4 per cent
from yesterday, according to the Ministry of Industry and Trade''s
Department of Competition Administration.
Domestic enterprises should join forces to apply trade defence
measures, according to Dinh Thi My Loan, chairwoman of the Advisory
Council on International Trade Remedies under the Viet Nam Chamber of
Commerce and Industry.

vegetable oil, issuing a new decision last week to impose a new
anti-dumping tax from September 7.
A trade fair and seminar event promoting Malaysian palm oil sales to
Viet Nam yesterday attracted over 200 business representatives from both
countries.
